The new version EMPIRE XCcel 5.30 features an enhanced Perfect Geometry Approximation (PGA) method which allows excellent modeling of arbitrarily shaped structures with coarse meshes. In addition several pre- and post-processing modules as PGA-, Farfield- and SAR-calculation have been parallelized to fully utilize Multi Core/ Multi CPU in order to speed up the complete design process. An even more efficient memory management allows simulation sizes of e.g. 460 Million FDTD cells using only 12 GB memory (example: 24 GHz radar front end).
New features include
- Enhanced 2D / 3D structure display
- Windows XP & Vista: GUI in 64 bit mode
- Increased simulation speed on Multi Core/ Multi CPU workstations (up to 2000 Million FDTD cells/s)
- Optimization: reduced memory usage
- Enhanced Perfect Geometry Approximation (PGA)
- Post-processing speed up: Farfield/SAR/ACD calculation on multiple cores/cpu’s
- Additional high-speed meshing algorithm for complex 3D solids
- Multiple (user-defined) excitation functions
- Angle adjustable polarization in circular waveguides
- Script controlled simulation and optimization
- User defined postprocessing (e.g. Matlab scripting)
